The DHS Adoption Program provides families with quality and caring representation by a licensed and qualified adoption attorney. This attorney is trained to provide families with continuous advocacy throughout the adoption process.
Prospective adoptive parents may use any attorney, but for those who do not have an attorney preference, the DHS Adoption Program is a great option. Families are not charged for these legal services, including; meeting in person to discuss the adoption case, preparing and filing the Petition for Adoption and other paperwork, coordinating efforts with the DHS adoption caseworker, as well as responding to phone calls and/or emails.
