The Oklahoma Developmental Disabilities Council (ODDC) is pleased to announce the 15th Annual Oklahoma Youth Leadership Forum at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (USAO) in Chickasha. The YLF is unique leadership program for students with disabilities. Student learn how to take charge of their lives and are given opportunities to lead. Attendees learn how to get ready for life’s opportunities and manage challenges. Selected students will develop important life skills to assist them to attain their life and career goals. Up to 25 students statewide will be selected to represent their communities as delegates.
- Be in 10th, 11th or 12th grade as of December 19, 2017
- Have a documented disability (students have attended who have significant learning, intellectual physical disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses)
- Have demonstrated leadership potential in their school and community
- Reside in Oklahoma
Applications must be postmarked by March 1, 2018.
Help is needed to identify students who meet the criteria and encouraging them to apply.
