The PieceWalk & Walk on April 20th from 7:30am to 10:30am at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark is a day for Oklahoma and Oklahomans to support the thousands of local individuals and families impacted by autism. Challenge yourself to run you best time for Oklahoma Families affected by Autism. David Blaine, one of America’s foremost magicians said, “Magic is not about having a puzzle to solve, It’s about creating a moment of awe and astonishment. And that can be a beautiful thing.” The PieceWalk is that moment. It is truly awe-inspiring and astonishing when you know that thousands have joined together to walk, run, volunteer, laugh and play, celebrate friendships and kinships, and successes and talents. Every person’s PieceWalk participation, whether virtual or physical, says “I believe in you, I love you, and I am here for you and with you.: It doesn’t get more beautiful that. AutismOklahoma knows that Interest + Opportunity = MAGIC, and we create that magic for 4,500 Oklahomans each and every year. Please join us in person, or from wherever you are so you can be a piece of the magic too. You can expect thousands of people who, like you love somebody with autism. There will be teams of 2 to 125 walking one mile together, many with matching team t-shirts. There will be runners racing the 3.1 mile course. There will be a Resource Fair with dozens of vendors sharing autism services, products, and fun activities and the Kidz Zone with hands-on fun for kids of all ages. You can expect to be surrounded by volunteers who will help you anyway they can. There will be PieceWalk and AutismOklahoma merchandise for sale so you can get a souvenir form you day, and a Quiet Area is provided if your child needs a rest from the noise and crowd. You can expect AutismOklahoma’s grace and hospitality at every turn.
