Teen Conference 2019 on June 5th from 11am to 1pm will bring together youth and adults from across the state to network and learn independent living skills. Teen Conference is a 2 ½ day event for youth in care and their adult sponsors. Through the conference format, youth and adults will have a unique opportunity to build partnerships, learn new skills, and improve their communication skills.
Who Should Attend? Youth, Ages 15 through 18 who are receiving OKSA services and are interested in learning important life skills and getting involved.
To make the most of the time available, an entertaining and informative format has been created. Youth and adults will participate in workshops together focusing on transitioning to adulthood. In addition, we have arranged for informative and motivating keynote speakers, a day trip to Frontier City, entertainment and fun! Everyone (youth and adults) are expected to be present and to fully participate in all conference activities. NEW THIS YEAR! On June 6th we will be spending part of the day at Frontier City! We are also inviting 15-year-olds to join us at the conference this year!
