What are the ongoing training requirements for foster parents?

To support the needs of children in their care, each adult must complete yearly in-service training hours based on their type of resource home.

Resource Home Training

Explore the annual training requirements for each type of resource home

Kinship Homes: 6 hours of training per year.
TFC Homes: 18 hours of training per year.
Traditional Homes: 12 hours of training per year.
ITFC Homes: 20 hours of training per year, with at least 6 hours clinical in nature.
